Using Web 2.0 Tools in Classrooms

Participants will be sent the readings, documents and videos related to the course content.

Technology brings new and inventive approaches to increase teaching quality. Web 2.0 Tools refer to the practical implementations of online social applications for educators. These technologies enable creative communication, presentation of material, and collaboration with others. In this training, you will explore how to use a wide range of Web 2.0 technologies in your teaching.

The methodological approach of this course includes ice-breaking activities, group debates, hands-on design activities etc.

Participants enrolled in this course will investigate how the most powerful online technologies are altering the teaching and learning practices they employ in the classroom environment. They will be able to;

• discuss how the internet is changing schooling
• identify effective technology integration strategies
• discover how Web 2.0 tools may boost students’ performances
• choose the right Web 2.0 tools to include into the curriculum to create activities that develop 21st Century Skills.
• develop their own lesson plans utilizing web 2.0 technologies and other software programs.

Course Evaluation Form & Feedback and Discussion Sessions At the end of the course the participants will fill in a form in order to get a detailed feedback for the effectiveness of the training.
